Specializing in HR strategic issues, COE, and digitization, he currently serves as the Head - HR at Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Limited. His career spans multiple industries, including IT (Tata Unisys Limited Education Center, Bangalore, India), banking (Eastern Bank Limited, Dhaka), and telecommunications (Airtel, Dhaka). Previously, as Head HR & Regional HR Project Lead for Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives at HBL (Habib Bank Limited), Rafiq redesigned performance frameworks, led value transformation initiatives, and significantly improved employee engagement scores. He is also renowned for his expertise in digital HR solutions, having overseen multiple HRIS implementations, including Oracle PeopleConnect, across various regions.
Rafiq holds a Master's degree in HRM from Dhaka University and is certified as a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), a Hay Job Evaluator, and AIHR certified Organizational Development Certified Professional (ODCP), Certified Business Partner, and an HR Analytics Professional. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Brac Business School, Brac University, where he imparts his extensive knowledge to graduate and postgraduate students.
