Rathinavel Rajan S.

Rathinavel Rajan is a versatile HR professional bringing with him over 20 years of rich experience in
Human Resource Management and Employee Relations in various capacities at Saint-Gobain, Unilever,
Federal Mogul and Ingersoll Rand. He is currently working with Ball Corporation as Country HR Expert -
India and Myanmar.
Rajan believes learning is eternal. He holds Masters in Labour Management from Tamilnadu Institute of Labour Studies and a Bachelor of Law from Karnataka State Law University. He also completed his Postgraduate programme in Business management from XLRI and is pursuing his doctorate studies at SRM Institute of Science & Technology.
Rajan handled three Greenfield projects from the formation and instrumental in building and nurturing the talents as well as culture of the respective organizations. He firmly believes that the success of HR lies in transcending boundaries and working as an enabling partner to business. The Extra Mile Award and the Path Breaker Award in Ingersoll Rand are testimony to his belief.
As an active contributor to the Human Resources fraternity, he is the General Secretary of HR Professional Association CHROMA and CII's Southern India regional HR & IR Committee member. He is also associated with The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) as Co-Chair of the HR Expert Committee and Life time member at Madras Productivity Council.
Rajan is committed to the cause of academia. He spends considerable time supporting NGOs promoting education and equal opportunities and he is the Founder of 'Ooruni Foundation' and Mentor of "Thamarai Community Development Centre". He is also a visiting faculty member at various institutions lending his experience and perspectives on Human Resources. As an affable personality, he connects with a lot of young minds on social media to provide his guidance on HR and career management.
Rajan is the author of the motivational book in Tamil titled "Uruppadiyai Oru Nimidam" meaning Constructive One Minute.
In 2019, Rajan won the Global "Award of Excellence" at Ball Corporation which is the highest honor for an employee in the organization and also featured at "Wall of Fame" at their Head office at Denver, Colorado, US. Rajan is the first Indian employee to receive this honor in the 140 year old organization. Rajan also won "People and Culture Focus Award" for Africa, Middle East and Asia region for the year 2018 at Ball Corporation
Rajan conferred with an award of "Top 101 HR Minds in India" at World HRD Congress 2019 and All India Press & Media Council awarded him the "Bliss Social Award - 2018" in Social services category.
