Nila leads Diversity and Inclusion for Standard Chartered Technology & Innovation. Spear-heading the D&I agenda aDITI (accelerating Diversity & Inclusion for Technology & Innovation), she leads the ideation and execution of activations that enable an inclusive culture maximising on diversity of thought and experience. aDITI has created opportunities for under-represented groups (women, LGBTQ+, ethnic minorities, generations and differently abled) for 49 countries and over 18,000 colleagues in the Technology function, empowering them to take charge of their careers and make decisions that directly benefit the Bank's clients & communities.

Her book of work and flagship initiatives are testimony to her leadership and execution, formidable grit and commitment that has translated into achieving significant and visible changes in the right direction. Among many initiatives, Nila ideated and executed one of the award-winning programmes, ASCEND, to enable a future-ready workforce focussing on building a pipeline of senior women in tech, poised to take on leadership roles, empowered with leadership & technical skills, organisational agility through experiential interventions, coaching and mentoring opportunities and creating their personal Engineering Career Path. The work on enabling digital inclusion to create a more accessible world, embedding accessibility into the fabric of SCB technology and applications is pathbreaking, led by the need of the hour and fit for purpose.

She has excelled in bringing the banking community closer through multiple leadership connects and panel discussions with both internal leadership teams and external business leaders enabling opportunities to drive the right conversations, empowering dialogues, and narratives on various D&I topics. aDITI has won various awards including the Diversity Impact Award by Asia's Best Employer Brands (2020); Best Employee Network Excellence by the Times Ascent World HRD Congress (2021) and Best Gender Equality by the Times Ascent World HRD Congress (2021).

Nila carries an experience of over 15 years in the Banking industry, across segments including, financial markets, Wholesale Banking, Global Banking, CDD, Human Resources & Technology and various portfolios including Risk, Migrations and Change Management, Business Management, Corporate Communications, Employee Engagement and Diversity & Inclusion. She is a Certified Human Centered Design Practitioner and holds and Advanced Certificate in Practical Customer Due Diligence from the International Compliance Association.

Nila is an inspiration, a mentor, a keynote speaker and a strong believer in 'doing the right thing', taking the team along and creating inclusive teams that build the right culture with a growth mindset aiding true transformation of the Bank's values and purpose. Outside of work, she leads by example, demonstrating passion and genuine need for a societal change by working with an NGO that supports women survivors and children of sexual exploitation, substance abuse and human trafficking. She carries an inherent need to integrate and create an empowering and comprehensive way of life so that each one has an opportunity to experience wholeness and fullness of life.
