Kunal has over 18 years' experience in HR - Operations, predominantly in Retail, ITES & BFS Industry. He has a Master’s Degree in Human Resources (MBA) & is also a certified Compensation Analyst.
As the Group Head of Human Resources at Choithrams, Kunal caters to needs of over 4000 employees in the Middle East Region. He believes in helping everyone perform better. His creativity in solving problems not only saves the company considerable expense and time, but also strengthens relationships with external agencies and organizations. He believes in investing time with students, across various universities & management schools, to develop their skills in concepts of leadership & conflict management.
Kunal has set exemplary norms in the field of Employee Engagement, Talent Management, HR Technology, Diversity & Inclusion. His passion and focus has enabled a switch in his organizations culture from a hierarchical “command and control” environment, to one which enables “trusted teams” to take accountability for customer advocacy. Critical to this was developing a climate where employees feel engaged and energized.
He has been recognized as one of the “100 Top Global HR Minds” at the Global HR Excellence Awards 2018 for his regular HR interventions that led to dynamic changes in his organization, resulting in significant increase in engagement levels which thrived to create a highly productive environment.
HR interventions led by him also resulted in Choithrams being honored as one of the GCC - Best Employer Brands, in October 2018.
