Alex Mathew is AVP – Human Resources at Landmark Group. In his current role he is responsible for People Strategy, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Performance Management, Organisation Development, Leadership Development, Learning & Development and Admin for Max Corporate.

In a career spanning over 17 years Alex has worked with leading Telecom and Consulting Companies including Telenor, Reliance Communications, CMC and Door International. He holds a Master's in Business Administration.

Alex has consulted for companies like Vodafone, Oracle and Tech Mahindra and supported them in the creation and implementation of Strategic HR and OD practices during his stint at Door International. One of Alex's core competencies is to devise People initiatives to deliver optimum business outcomes.

At Max, he has successfully redesigned and executed the Maxelerate Performance Planning System which is a Self-Appraisal System incorporating Joint Accountability of KPIs between various roles, factoring in the Key Efforts in addition to the Key Results and ties integrates the various business calendars and business process into one canvas. Maxelerate has helped Max eliminate the Forced Bell Curve normalisation for employee appraisal.

In his stint at Lifestyle, Alex was a key contributor to award winning initiatives like Play in a Day (Learning through Street Theatre), LIFE (A career development program for Frontline Staff) among many other innovative initiatives that were considered to be industry benchmarks which have helped organisations to improve employee engagement, reduce attrition thereby increasing employee productivity. Many of these initiatives have been recognised and awarded at the organisation and industry level for being innovative and for creating lasting business impact.
