With a vast and varied experience spanning 15 years Vijayanti is a pragmatic, results driven business leader with extensive human resource experience in national and multi-national organizations across diverse industries. She is a recognized professional with high business acumen. Her primary focus is on identifying organizational needs and optimizing human capital in achieving business objectives.

Her forte lies in in talent management, succession planning, organizational development, change management and leadership strategic planning. She also hasa diverse HR experience which backed with strong Organizational Development competenciesmakes her an indispensable partner for all the business that she leads and supports. She has demonstrated time and again in diffusing highly charged situations, offering solutions, simplifying issuesand providing scenarios that allow leaders to understand potential implications which ultimately helps in resolving issues.

She is passionate about optimizing business performance through people and deeply believes in motivating and inspiring people to see their full potential. She has successfully helped many teams and organizations manoeuvre through all continuums of the HR maturity curve.

The businesses she supports have had the benefit of her expertise indeliveringon a wide spectrum of HR activities such as talent strategy, workforce planning, performance management, training, career management, succession planning and employee retention.

As the current Head of Learning and Organization Development at Biocon, Vijayanti has been instrumental in helping Biocon achieve the following milestones: -
i) Settingup the talent management framework for Biocon
ii) Leading organization wide initiatives in Performance Management and HR metrics
iii) Settingup of the Biocon Academy –a key Biocon initiative to prepare industry ready Biotech talent
iv) Leadingall employee engagement and People Metrics for the Biocon's core business verticals of Insulin, Fill Finish and B2B Sales

Her role here at Biocon involves: -
i) Providing expert recommendations to Business Leaders on human capital issues, HR policies and industry best practices
ii) Managing organization wide the entire spectrum of the talent process
iii) Lead the strategy of planning talent needs for critical roles, optimal workforce planning and contributing to the annual budgeting purposes
iv) Coachingmanagers on people review, talent identification & succession planning
v) Working closely with Leaders to deploy corporate learning and development programs.
vi) Developingand deploying processes, tools and techniques to manage the people transformation that support organization goals
vii) Planning and Executing HR projects independently and jointly with Business Leaders to ensure maximum employee engagementthat embed change management principles.
viii) Manage and leading the Performance Review process, including Salary reviews, Job analysis,administering salary adjustments, incentives and bonus payouts.Leading gender diversity initiatives in all HR processes from
recruitment to talent management and learning & development.

Past Experience

Hewlett-Packard
At HP she was representing her organisation as the Regional Learning Partner in the Leadership teams for the entire PPS, Asia Pacific and Japan region. With vast budgets to manage Vijayanti was deeply involved with the business to drive programs in sales enablement and excellence.

Her role in HP also included Planning & managing the learning budget for regional Business Units. She was tasked with building a pool of internal COE's, creating artefacts that allowed for business continuity. Her focus was on Quality of Service, Operational & Delivery Excellence, Building and Retaining Internal Client Relationship.

Also building of roles and Competency Roadmaps was another major initiative undertaken by her. Additionally she also was handling MIS, Monitor Compliance parameters, and being the organization's representativefor all audits.

Tesco
Hertenure in Tesco included design and implementation of a challenging process around internal job movements both laterally and keeping in mind career planning. She used an analytical and data based approach in Employee engagement projects and projects related to talent retention. Vijayantiwas also the driving force in designing, process planning and implementing the Career Planning program for Tesco specifically aimed for developing high performers.

McAfee
During her tenure at McAfee she handled all end to end HR functions for eight business groups in India. In addition to her Business Partner role she also led many OD initiatives atMcAfee. She was instrumental in setting up a Career Plan and succession Planning framework for their India Centre. She also carried out an in depth exercise of identifying opportunities for leadership learning and execution across all management levels.

Before McAfee Vijayanti has also done path breaking work in esteemed organizations such as HCL Infosystems, Watson Wyeth, Whirlpool Corporation.

She holds a Master's Degree in HR and OD from the Delhi School of Economics and is also a Master's in Economics with Distinction from Madras Christian College. She has also served as a lecturer in Development and Institutional Economics at her alma mater MCC.
